Effective Psychotherapeutic Services

GMH is a leader in geriatric psychiatry in Maryland having developed the region’s most comprehensive and sophisticated menu of offerings for older adults. These services include inpatient, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient programming options.

These programs are all tailored to meet our patients’ needs through a rich array of medically supervised therapeutic modalities. 

A specialized track for the treatment of mood disorders is offered for adult patients at Glorious Mental Health System. As part of this treatment track, patients are provided with individualized treatment plans that focus on addressing the stressors that provoked their need for treatment, providing symptomatic relief with medication, educating them and their families, and creating an aftercare program to help them access resources once they have been discharged. 

23-hour beds are available for psychiatric observation and are designed to be an alternative to a hospitalization program. 

Offered at both the inpatient and outpatient program levels, GMH System provides a dual recovery track for patients who are suffering from co-occurring chemical dependency and psychiatric disorders. Psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and support group meetings are all included in this programming option to promote sobriety and restore a productive lifestyle for patients.
